The challenge
The client had a monolithic application running on aging on-premise hardware with no existing cloud footprint. Their engineering team had no AWS experience, compliance requirements were strict (PCI-DSS), and the business could not tolerate any service interruption during migration.
Our approach
We ran a 12-week phased migration: starting with a full dependency and compliance audit, designing a multi-account AWS architecture with VPC isolation, then migrating non-critical services first to validate the approach before tackling the payments core. We built all infrastructure as Terraform modules and ran parallel environments for 4 weeks before cutover.

Our approach
We containerized all services, stood up EKS with Terraform, and built GitHub Actions pipelines with automated testing, security scanning, and environment promotion gates. We added Datadog for observability and ran three weeks of parallel deployments before fully cutting over. Engineers were trained and handed full ownership at the end of the engagement.

The challenge
The founding team were strong product engineers but had no infrastructure experience. They needed to move fast, stay compliant with HIPAA, and build something that wouldn't need to be torn down at Series A. Budget was tight and every architectural decision had long-term consequences.
Our approach
We ran a two-week architecture sprint to define the target state, then built the full infrastructure using Terraform on GCP with a secondary AWS footprint for specific HIPAA-sensitive workloads. We implemented encryption at rest and in transit, audit logging, access controls, and a BAA-compliant data boundary. The entire stack was documented and handed to the team with runbooks.
